Colors Pop at the New Scott White Contemporary Art Exhibit

A new solo exhibition is on display at Scott White Contemporary Art. The gallery will feature "Colors Desire" by Gregg Renfrow now through Dec. 21.

This Saturday, Scott White Contemporary Art hosted the opening night for its new solo exhibition “Colors Desire: New Abstract Paintings by Gregg Renfrow.”

The solo exhibition features Renfrow’s newest work that was inspired by his viewing of Raphael’s Saint Catherine of Alexandria at the National Gallery in London. Renfrow’s luminous paintings are created through his signature style of pouring polymer and pigment onto large sheets of cast acrylic in layers. His style is influenced by Minimalism, Abstraction and the California Light and Space movement, and he aims to evoke a similar reaction from the viewer.

Renfrow, an artist born and raised in San Francisco, is a recipient of the American Council for the Arts Fine Arts Award and his work has been featured in galleries throughout the nation as solo exhibits as well as with a wide selection of group exhibitions.
