Celebrate St. Paddy's with Prose

A local bookstore is inviting you to come read some prose and sip some Guinness.

Don’t know how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this weekend? A local bookstore has your answer and it’s written in the books.

is hosting a special St. Paddy’s day event that involves poetry, prose and some Irish beer. It’s the over at D.G. Wills, a time to get together with other bookworms and literature lovers for some classics.

The public is invited to stop by the booktore at 7 p.m. and read some of their favorite selections from Irish authors like:

  • William Butler Yeats
  • Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde (Oscar Wilde)
  • George Bernard Shaw
  •  Edmund Burke

The store’s owner will provide some drinks, like everyone’s favorite Irish beer, Guinness, and you’re allowed to bring your own! Bring some soda to share, green beer, whatever you like!

The reading will start at 7 p.m. on March 17 and continue until everyone has read what they’ve wanted. This event is the perfect alternative to a noisy, loud bar on St. Paddy’s Day! Wear your green!
