A Special Holiday Treat for Jazz Lovers
The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library presents the critically acclaimed drummer Matt Wilson in his performance Christmas Tree-O coming Dec. 7.
La Jolla’s Athenaeum Music & Arts Library has a special holiday gift for jazz lovers this December, as they proudly present Matt Wilson’s Christmas Tree-O. The holiday performance will feature acclaimed drummer Matt Wilson, who will be joined by multireedist Jeff Lederer and bassist Paul Sikivie on Dec. 7.
The New York based drummer has been recognized by The New York Times as “easily one of the best drummers of his generation,” and as “one of the most in-demand and versatile musicians in jazz,” by DownBeat. Wislon will lead the mainstream jazz trio in a fun and high-spirited performance of some of the favorite classic holiday tunes.
The performance will take place at the Athenaeum School of the Arts in University Heights, located at 4441 Park Blvd., San Diego on Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.
