Weather Forecast: Mostly Clear Skies for Viewing Fireworks

The National Weather Service forecasts patchy fog after 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

The weather has been beautiful for the Fourth of July weekend. The beaches have been packed, the parks crowded, and restaurants and shops full. It seems as though June Gloom is behind us.

The National Weather Service anticipates continues sunny skies for Independence Day with a high near 71 and west winds around 10 mph. This is great news for viewing fireworks.

The National Weather Service extended forecast for La Jolla:

Monday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.

Tuesday Night: Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming west between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 63.
