Weather Forecast: Feb. 12-18

The weather forecast for La Jolla includes thunderstorms Sunday night and Monday night.

We will start the week out with a chance of wet weather through Tuesday. Please remember that the Department of Environmental Health warns swimmers, surfers and divers that levels of bacteria can rise significantly in ocean waters following major rains due to urban runoff.

National Weather Service Forecast for La Jolla:

Today: A 10 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. West wind around 10 mph. 

Tonight: A slight chance of showers before 10 p.m., then a slight chance of showers after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Monday: Showers likely, mainly after 10 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 59. West wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Monday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 4 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. West wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. Northwest wind around 5 mph. 

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. 

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. 

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. 

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. 

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49. 

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 63. 

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. 

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.
