WANTED: This Man Stole Plaques from Military Graves in San Diego County [Photo]

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday released a photo of a man wanted in connection with the theft of seven brass grave markers from Alpine Cemetery in East County.

Three unknown suspects entered the Alpine Cemetery between April 4-5, 2013 and stole the brass plaques that marked the graves of military veterans, according to law enforcement.

While investigators were able to identify and arrest two of the three suspects, one suspect remains at large. 

Anyone with information on these thefts should call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous emails and text messages can be sent through sdcrimestoppers.org.

The  total loss associated with the theft is $3,500.
