Take a 'Secret Garden Tour'

The La Jolla Historical Society is having their 14th annual Secret Garden Tour on Saturday.

Ever wondered what some of La Jolla’s best-kept secrets are? Hint: They contain lots of greenery and flowers!

The La Jolla Historical Society is back with its of La Jolla. The self-guided tour gives residents a behind-the-gates look at some of our community’s most beautiful gardens.

The gardens included on the tour are kept secret until the day of the tour (Saturday) and most of the gardens are secluded and hidden to the public, due to foliage, vines or trees. They truly are “secret” gardens!

Each garden will come to life with music performed by local musicians, tabletop displays by local designers and merchants and by La Jolla artists in the process of capturing each home and garden’s unique beauty. It’s a truly interactive experience for all.

This annual event is a fundraiser for the Historical Society. Its goal is to raise public awareness of the Society and its efforts to preserve our unique seaside community. The Secret Garden Tour generates essential financial support for the Society’s mission to discover, collect and preserve La Jolla’s heritage.

Garden enthusiasts can still find out all the secrets with the self guided tours, which cost $40 for Society members and $50 for non-members.
