Southbound I-805 to Close at Merge Overnight Thursday
The overnight closure is part of a project to construct one carpool lane in each direction in the median of I-805 from CA 52 to Mira Mesa Boulevard.
Construction crews will close all lanes of southbound Interstate 805 from the I-5/I-805 merge to California 52 from 9:30 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday to remove overhead freeway signs.
Drivers will be detoured to southbound I-5, then eastbound CA 52 to northbound or southbound I-805. Signs are in place advising of the upcoming closure. Detour signs will be placed to assist drivers around the closure.
