"This unique home is a good example of how today’s smart energy efficiency technologies—and even those that have been around a spell—can have families living sustainably and in style. Two flat plate collectors for solar water heating and a 2.6 kW solar PV system atop a heat-zapping cool roof offset monthly electric and gas bills. Radiant floor technologies with 6 interior hydronic thermostatically-controlled heating zones keep this home consistently comfortable without exorbitant heating and cooling costs.
