San Diego Coastal Areas Get Much Needed Rain

Did you get rain last night?

San Diego County got some much needed rainfall early Friday.

As of 6 a.m., an average of 0.06 inches of rain fell in coastal areas, an average of 0.15 inches fell in the valleys and an average of 0.18 inches fell in the mountains, according to the National Weather Service. No measurable rainfall was recorded in the deserts.

Showers were expected to continue through the morning, decreasing this afternoon.

"Another low pressure system will track southward off the California coast, possibly bringing additional, mainly light precipitation Sunday night and early Monday," an NWS advisory said.
