This isn’t your traditional horse show. Imagine a stage full of horses, combined with acrobatics and live music, creating a celebration of humans and animals.
It may seem like a dream but Cavalia, which is premiering in San Diego on Tuesday, is a multimedia show exploring the relationship between human and horse.
“Whether you are or aren’t a horseman, it’s impossible not to enjoy these mystical creatures,” said artistic director Norman Latourelle. “With such a large equestrian community throughout San Diego, we are thrilled to be back.”
Latourelle, co-founder of Cirque du Soleil, said he is eager to return to San Diego since Cavalia’s last visit in 2004.
Cavalia will be at 1020 Imperial Ave., San Diego under the signature White Big Top. The show runs into December. Tickets start at $39.50.
