Photos: First Seal Pup of the Season Born at Children's Pool

The first seal pup of the 2012 pupping season was born over Sunday night.

The first seal pup of the season was born overnight at the Children's Pool in La Jolla. The pup was named "Miracle" by Andrea Hahn.

According to La Jolla Friends of the Seals, a total of 38 seals were born in 2011. The first being on Feb. 3, 2011.
