Orange Bikes Parked All Across La Jolla

Several very bright orange bicycles are locked up along high traffic streets in La Jolla. Where did they come from?

Updated on Sunday, July 21: Mystery of 30 Orange Bicycles in La Jolla Solved

Several colorful bicycles have been parked along La Jolla's busies intersections. It seems as though they appeared overnight. Patch wonders if they are art or bicycles that have been paint bombed?

We've seen them along Torrey Pines Road at Girard, Herschel, Exchange and Prospect; and along Pearl Street at Eads and La Jolla Boulevard.

Have you seen the orange bicycles that are painted from handlebar to spokes?  Where did they come from? Who placed them there? Let us know in the comment section below. We'd love to learn more.

The orange bikes are advertising a new type of gym in La Jolla called Orange Theory.
Bike riding and commuting in San Diego is perfect with weather, healthy life-styles, parking & traffic conversations, to continue to expand what many US cities and International countries have been doing for years. (Attention Patch Readers I know this is from La Jolla Light) http://www.lajollalight.com/2013/07/17/city-seeks-info-on-bike-sharing-program-in-la-jolla-and-san-diego/

So, they're marketing junk? Why haven't they been removed? Did the gym also donate bicycles, to make up for the ones they destroyed?
