Happy Fourth of July!
The beaches were packed in La Jolla on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the Independence Day weekend. The crowd was out to enjoy the three-day weekend and enjoy the sun and sand. A larger crowd is expected on Monday.
Dozens of tents and beach enthusiasts were out in near the and in on Sunday night. Areas residents and tourists blanketed the parks to reserve the best seats for Monday night's fireworks show off the Cove.
Enjoy a concert at Ellen Browning Scripps Park at 5 p.m. followed by a patriotic show of fireworks celebrating America's independence at 9 p.m.
