Green Flash Concert Series Kicks Off with Earl Thomas and the Blue Ambassadors

The 2011 Green Flash Concert Series at Birch Aquarium in La Jolla includes performances by Donavon Frankenreiter and Fitz & the Tantrums this summer.

Earl Thomas and The Blues Ambassadors performed Wednesday night at Birch Aquarium, as part of the 2011 Green Flash Concert Series.

Earl Thomas, a San Diego favorite, and his band combine traditional and contemporary blues, rock and soul. About 200 people were in attendance. The event was sponsored by KPRI and Gordon Biersch Brewery.

Thomas was the first of six performers in the 2011 Green Flash Concert Series. The intimate performances are held rain or shine at .
