Family-Friendly Movie Deals Offer Summer Fun

Grab some popcorn and a cool drink and enjoy some kid-friendly films at one the following movie cinemas offering movies for less.

Summertime means fun outdoors! Swimming lessons, outdoor festivals, concerts, summer camp, race track excitement and surfing at the beach are just some of the activities families and kids are enjoying. But what about some fun in the shade?

Grab some popcorn and a cool drink and enjoy some kid-friendly films at one the following movie cinemas offering kids' movies for less!

UltraStar Offers Kids’ Films in the Morning

The UltraStar 2011 Summer Kids’ Film Series runs through August 17. The family-friendly film festival features a different G or PG rated film each week on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Each movie begins at 9:30 a.m., and doors open at 9 a.m. For $5 per person you can get a “Festival Pass” which entitles you to admission for the entire series of films. The Film Festival Pass allows you to see one film per week.

Free Krikorian Kids’ Series 2011 Film Festival

The children’s film series plays at the Krikorian Theatre in Vista and features a kid-friendly family movie every Tuesday until August 23. There will be two showings of each movie: Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. Tickets to the films are FREE! Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

Movies for $1 at Regal & Edwards Cinemas

Regal Cinemas’ Summer Movie Express 2011 offers selected G or PG-rated movies for only a dollar on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m., however some theatres offer movies on Thursdays too. Tickets are only at the theater’s box office on the day of the show. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to theater capacity. Series runs through August 25.
