Eat with Etiquette

Kids and parents can learn proper dining experience for the holidays.

With the holiday season upon us, dinner parties are bound to become more frequent and family get-togethers are imminent. A local restaurant is offering up classes to help your little ones be well-behaved at the dinner table this season.

, an elegant and local French restaurant, is having a special class this week to help your kids have the perfect holiday etiquette. “” is a workshop for parents and their children that will teach proper dining skills, like:

  • How to navigate the place setting
  • Correct use of the napkin and silverware
  • American and continental styles of eating
  • Dining dos and don'ts
  • Dealing with dining dilemmas
  • Eating various foods

You and your child (or children) can take this class together, so you’ll both be brushed up on good behavior this season. Cost is $100 for a parent and child pair. Additional adults will cost $70 and additional children $30. The price includes the dining workshop with resident etiquette expert Elaine Swann, as well as her holiday etiquette and planning guide. You will also get a three-course meal including beverage, tax and gratuity.

The class is Wednesday at 6 p.m. at . Reservations for a spot in the class is necessary, as space is limited. Call up 760-754-9891 for tickets or purchase them online here. The first five parent-child pairs to sign up will get into the class for just $80.
