5 Ways to Go Green and Save in San Diego

The following resources are not only money-savers, but also ways to make San Diego a little bit greener!

Electronic discards, unfortunately, is one of the fastest growing segments of our nation's waste stream. Given that many of our products can be refurbished, reused, or recycled there is more we can do! We are making a big difference globally and locally when we pay a visit to e-waste drop-offs, local thrift stores, resale, vintage and consignment shops, rummage sales, swap meets, book stores and book sales, etc.

According to the California Department of Conservation, Californians bought more than 20.2 billion carbonated and non-carbonated drinks in aluminum, glass, plastic and bi-metal containers last year. Good news is that we recycled more than 12 billion of those containers - the highest amount ever in the state. If this is an indicator of what we can do, why not set a new challenge, San Diego?
