Ballpark Chat: National University Speaker Series Features Don Czechowicz of General Atomics Aug. 1 on “National Security and Our Economy”

Tickets to event at San Diego’s Petco Park include admission and vouchers to Padres game immediately afterward

National University invites the public to a presentation  by General Atomics Project Leader Don Czechowicz on “National Security and Our Economy” at San Diego’s Petco Park Aug. 1, 2014. National University’s Speaker Series features innovative leaders, researchers and other invited guests who are making a positive impact in our communities. The Aug. 1 event is timed to take place just before the Padres game, and the $25 National University Speaker Series ticket includes one free admission to the game, and vouchers for snacks. Pre-registration required.

Who: National University’s Speaker Series features Don Czechowicz, Project Leader and part of the Energy and Advanced Concept Groups at General Atomics. Don Czechowicz will highlight the importance of General Atomics products to our national security and local economy. Founded originally in 1955 as a division of General Dynamics, General Atomics and its affiliated companies now constitute one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to electromagnetic systems, remotely operated surveillance aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electronic, wireless and laser technologies.

When: Friday, Aug. 1. Speaker Series event from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Padres game against Atlanta Braves starts at 7:10 p.m.

Where: Petco Park Auditorium. Check in with National University tent crew at the corner of Park Blvd. and 10th Ave., in downtown San Diego.

Cost: $25 per person, pre-registration required. Amount includes Speaker Series event, ballgame ticket, and Friar Fun Funds voucher worth $10. Guests receive ballgame ticket and voucher at event.
