Haute La Jolla Nights, Foodie Friday and Musical Crossroads

Five things La Jollans needs to know Friday.

Here are 5 Things of interest to La Jolla residents:

1. Head to the theater for a show and dinner tonight. The La Jolla Playhouse’s Foodie Friday is taking place before Sideways. Theatergoers can enjoy food from several food trucks before the performance and receive a complimentary microbrew tasting. Purchase tickets online.

2. The La Jolla Music Society will present Musical Crossroads at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla at 7:30 p.m. tonight. Musical Crossroads includes three world premières by three Pulitzer-Prize winning composers: Steven Stucky's Violin Sonata, David Del Tredici's Bullycide and John Harbison's Crossroads. 3. The La Jolla Recreation Center will host a Senior Luau Dinner Dance for locals 55 and older. The event is $10 per person and will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Rec Center located at 615 Prospect St.

4. The La Jolla Community Center will host an Antiques and Vintage Summer Fest on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fest includes shopping, a live auction at 2 p.m. and antique appraisals, for a fee. Admission is free. See you at the Community Center located at 6811 La Jolla Blvd on Saturday.

5. Enjoy Haute La Jolla Nights on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be live music throughout La Jolla Village and specials at restaurants, galleries and shops.
