UCSD Swimmer Named Star of the Month by SD Hall of Champions
UC San Diego's record-setting and NCAA champion swimmer Dane Stassi joins 15 other athletes as the Stars of Month for March.
The San Diego Hall of Champions named 16 local professional, college and high school athletes as the Stars of the Month on Monday. Locally, UC San Diego's Dane Stassi was honored.
Stassi join three professional, six other amateur and six high school athletes as the March Stars of the Month:
- Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs
- Kraig Chiles of San Diego Sockers
- Heather Jackson, triathlete
- Jamaal Franklin, San Diego State, basketball
- Dane Stassi, UC San Diego, swimming
- Patrice Jackson, San Diego State, softball
- Sanieka Thomas, San Diego State, track
- Clark Spinoza, University of San Diego, tennis
- Kris Bryant, University of San Diego, baseball
- Jonathan Tiggs, Point Loma Nazarene, track
- Trey Kell, St. Augustine’s
- Darren Carrington, Horizon
- Stephen Gonsalves, Cathedral Catholic, baseball
