Teen Stabbed After Party Crashers Told to Leave

A house party on Fern Glen turns violent after uninvited guests arrive.

A teenager was stabbed twice in the back early Sunday morning by at least one person in a group of crashers who tried to force their way into a house party in La Jolla, a police officer said.

The boy was expected to survive, San Diego police officer David Stafford said.

About 1 a.m., a small group of people tried to force their way into a house party in the 500 block of Fern Glen, attended by 30 to 35 high school students, Stafford said.

They were told to leave by people hosting the party and a fight began. The stabbing victim later showed up at Scripps La Jolla Hospital, he said.

The suspect was described as a 17- to 20-year-old Asian male, with a thin 5-foot, 8-inch build and was last seen wearing a gray hat.
