Firefighters Extinguish Blaze near Kate O. Sessions Park

The cause of the vegetation fire is under investigation.

Firefighters responded to a half-acre vegetation fire near Kate O. Sessions Park Wednesday just after 2 p.m. According to Maurice Luque, a spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, 40 firefighters extinguished flames in a canyon near Edgeworth and Crownhill roads in North Pacific Beach. A firefighting helicopter made two water drops on the blaze.

No structural damages or injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
