The University City Little League’s Challenger Division provides boys and girls with disabilities an opportunity to play ball. In Challenger games, “buddies” assist their challenged partners as guides for blind players or by pushing wheelchair-bound children around the bases.
La Jolla Patch caught last weeks’ game against the Mira Mesa West Cardinals at Standley Park. Both teams had talent and spirit.
