Sales records, which will include the owner's name or the name of a trust, were not recorded with the county as of Wednesday afternoon.

Jeff Olson, division chief of Assessment Services with San Diego County, said it typically takes two days for the County Assessor's office to receive and process paperwork of a sale. He anticipated having documents on file on Thursday.

Olson added that three sales of more than $10 million have been recorded this year thus far. Homes on Camino de la Costa in the Lower Hermosa neighborhood and on Inspiration Drive in the Muirlands neighborhood have fetched $10.6 million, and since January.

"It is the biggest sale in the San Diego County in the past three years," said Laleh Monshizadeh.

Laleh Monshizadeh said the new owner plans on working with the original architect to fully complete and design out the home, which has access to Black's Beach.

"It is not just a home. It is a piece of architecture. It is art. It is a trophy property," said Laleh Monshizadeh. "There is nothing like it."

Jeff Nunn, branch manager with Coldwell Banker, said he is so proud of his team for building their presence in the upper market. Coldwell Banker sold three of the four homes over $10 million in La Jolla this year.

"It is another sign that the high-end buyer is starting to see the reason and logic to put their money back into real estate," said Nunn.
